<p>UNOFFICIAL COPY AS OF 04/26/18 15 REG. SESS. 15 RS BR 1913</p><p>A RESOLUTION honoring the Fern Creek High School wrestling team. WHEREAS, at the 52nd KHSAA State Wrestling Tournament held at Alltech Arena in Lexington, Kentucky, the Fern Creek High School wrestling team captured the state championship by besting second place Union County High School; and WHEREAS, Fern Creek High School was led at the 2015 championships by Mike Klein, who finished in sixth place in the 106-pound division; Jorge Vega, first place in the 113-pound division; Cedric Binford, fourth place in the 120-pound division; Connor Cambron, fifth place in the 126-pound division; A.J. Binder, second place in the 132- pound division; Bryce Hoffman, fourth place in the 152-pound division; and Kohl Dodd, first place in the 195-pound division; and WHEREAS, the 2015 KHSAA State Wrestling Championship was a historic feat for the Fern Creek High School, as it marked the school's first state title; and WHEREAS, this body hereby honors the Fern Creek High School wrestling team; congratulates its coach, Mark Hitchings, who won an individual title for Fern Creek in 1981; and commends the entire Fern Creek community for playing a part in this extraordinary accomplishment; NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:</p><p>Section 1. The Senate honors the Fern Creek High School wrestling team upon winning the 2015 KHSAA State Wrestling Championship, and commends the hard work and dedication of Head Coach Mark Hitchings and his staff for guiding these young men both on and off the mat.</p><p>Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor of the Fern Creek High School wrestling team.</p><p> Section 3.
