<p>BREAST MRI QUEUE PROTOCOL</p><p>1. MRI will bring the exam to the mammography assistant at their site once the Breast MRI is completed and ready for interpretation.</p><p>2. The mamm assistant will fax it to the Breast MRI queue and then email Jo Collins that there is an MRI in the queue ready for reading. (email Jennifer Hill in Jo Collins’ absence).</p><p>3. Jo will distribute the MRI’s accordingly</p><p> a. The first MRI of the day or the one held over from the previous day will go to Mamm-7 (if no Mamm 7 slot Mamm-1 SHIC will get the first one. b. They will be distributed in order there after to i. SHIC (Mamm-1) ii. HF (Mamm-2) iii. VC (Mamm-3)  Each slot should expect at leasts 2 MRI’s per day. They may not get two but they should expect two.  The radiologists will have their allotted MRI’s for the day by noon. Any MRI’s completed after noon will be held for the first slot in the morning.</p><p>. If there is a rad in a slot that does not read MRI it will go to the next slot in the distribution. . If the rad in the Mamm-1 slot does an MRI procedure, it is counted as their first MRI of the day. . If Dr.Russell is working in Arizona and has the time, he can be given as many MRI’s as he can/will read. . If Dr. Honick is at DWCW he will often take up to 4 MRI’s.</p><p> c. Pullman MRI’s will go in to the queue and be dispersed as above.</p><p> d. PEM studies will be read at the Mamm-1 slot. i. The PEM would take the place of an MRI, thus the MRI rotation would skip Mamm-1 if they are reading a PEM. ii. If there is a rad in the SHIC-1 slot that does not read PEM, then the PEM study would go into the MRI rotation to be read by the slot next in line for an MRI. PEMS can be read at any mamm reading station.</p>
