<p>Due Date: Friday, December 13th by 3:00 p.m.</p><p>Student State Name: ______</p><p>Student Name/Student Number: ______</p><p>Instructions: Students must create a poster, 3-D Model or an Interactive PowerPoint with a user- friendly game to present to the class based on the state they pulled. This project will be based on material we have covered in History Chapter 1-5 This project is to be done solely by the student so that they will learn more about their country/state. You may utilize the Internet, library, and other reliable resources to gain ACCURATE information!! Learn as much as you can about your state because you will have to present to the class for at least 2-minutes. Students will have approximately 4-weeks to complete the project and have it turned-in by 3:00 p.m. on Friday December 13 th unless you have an EXCUSED absence!! CREATING A POSTER If creating a poster, you will need to have the state drawn, cut into the shape of the state, or put onto a Tri-fold board.  Be creative and utilize various items around the house for your project. Information will need to be typed, but if handwritten make sure it is your best writing. Please include the following:  A legend  Important part of your states  Label landforms economy (i.e. dairy, oranges,  Agriculture etc.)  Specialized products the  Majority types of jobs (i.e. state produces industries, agriculture etc)  Type of climate that affects  State flag the state  State bird  Natural resources (if any)  State song  Renewable and/or  Important factors and nonrenewable resources pictures of the state (i.e.  Region in which your state month and/or year became a lies (i.e. subtropics’ etc) state)  Festivals (if any)  1-3 famous people from the state Make sure information collected for the state is accurate!! PowerPoint w/User-Friendly Game If creating a PowerPoint, must have no more than 20 slides with at least 2 slides for interactive game that consist of questions and answers. Include workable websites and links to important sites and video’s, please include all of the same information on your slides as stated within the information about the poster. </p><p>CREATING a 3-D MODEL Model can be constructed with Styrofoam, clay, and etc. Model must contain the same information listed in the poster section and Chapter 1. Make sure 3-D model is labeled and organized with the information provided. You have 3 weeks to develop and create a wonderful project that will leave a lasting impression on what you have learned during your first and second 9-weeks of 5th grade. Do not wait until the last minute to begin your project because if I am giving you 4 weeks to start and finish your projects, then I want your project to have as much detail, color, and pizzazz as possible!! This project will be worth 2 TEST GRADES for HISTORY!!
