What truth, verse, or insight has helped you know Him better as your Good God?</p><p>2. Pray and ask God to reveal insights into His great Patience as you read 1 Timothy 1:12-17. 3. Define or give synonyms for the word, “patient.” Circle the ones that point to our Patient God.</p><p>4. Paul leads up to his powerful description of God’s patience by first describing his own journey to faith. In V12, for what three things does Paul thank Jesus? In V15, Paul emphatically stated Christ’s purpose for coming into the world. a) What was that purpose?</p><p> b) In our culture today, what do some people think Christ’s main purpose was?</p><p>8. a) What message was God communicating by the mercy He gave Paul (V16a)?</p><p> b) To whom was God aiming this message (V16b)?</p><p> c) Write a truth about God’s Patience based on V16.</p><p>9. a) Restate 2 Peter 3:9 in your own words.</p><p> b) How is God’s Patience connected to His great desire for mankind? (See also 3: 8,15a)</p><p>10. Read Romans 2:4. What is the connection between patience and repentance?</p><p>11. Nehemiah 9 is a prayer of confession by the Israelites. Read 9:29-31 and describe the many ways God was “patient with them.”</p><p>12. Paul’s transparency about his past sins displayed God’s immense Patience.
