Nursing Program

LOGAN MAIER

Student Nursing Program Alma College Alma, Michigan

Mr. Logan Maier is a sophomore currently enrolled in the Nursing Program at Alma College, working towards his BSN. He chose this career path in part because he enjoys helping people. The other reason he chose to get a degree in healthcare is because throughout school his favorite subjects have always been math and science. Nursing is a profession that can tie all three of these areas together.

After graduating from Alma, Mr. Maier is thinking about going to graduate school to become a Nurse Anesthetist. He is interested in going to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Symposium for a few reasons. He would like to see how homeland security is conducted. He thinks it will be really interesting to see how the response to different disasters is handled. This could open his eyes to different career paths that will fulfill his goal of getting a job where he will be able to help people. Along with this, at the Symposium, Mr. Maier will have the opportunity to meet people from organizations all over the country. He will have the potential to talk to people about different career paths in healthcare and what different jobs have to offer. He can also learn about different schools and potential places he could go for graduate school. Ultimately the FEMA Symposium would be a wonderful opportunity and a great experience.

April 25, 2016
