They are experts in not only structural design and RedBuilt™ products, but in clear communication of product and installation requirements. Projects may be diverse, but the duties of a design technician are focused on:  Structural analysis  Product design using RedBuilt™ engineering software  Developing layout drawings, details and material lists  Providing design assistance to design professionals, builders, and building inspectors  Critical communication with customers, architects, engineers, and our team of sales representatives</p><p>Our Design Technicians are familiar with the construction industry, and enjoy designing structural systems. They excel in math, communication, and reading and interpreting blueprints and other construction documents. Framing experience is a plus. Qualified candidates will be savvy in Microsoft Office and able to quickly get up to speed in AutoCAD. We are looking for people who thrive in a team environment and can maintain excellent working relationships with customers, sales and others on the technical team. Many of our Design Technicians have two year degrees or certificates in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture.</p><p>Design Technician is an hourly position with excellent benefits (medical, dental and vision, life, short-term disability and 401k plan), working under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer, and reports to a Design Center leader.
