Aim: To predict resistivity and gamma ray log responses in different depositional environments.

Depositional Resistivity Response up- Gamma-ray response up- Environment well well Meandering River System Delta slope Evaporative Lake Turbidite -Bouma Sequence

For each of the above depositional environments, estimate what the log response will be in a direction going up the well. Complete the table above with:

Increasing electrical resistivity, Decreasing electrical resistivity, Increasing gamma ray intensity, Decreasing gamma ray intensity

In addition, for each depositional environment, predict the type of grain-size and compositional change going up the well (if applicable). Use as much space as needed. Depositional Environment Grain size change up-well Compositional change up- well Meandering River System

Delta System

Evaporative Lake

Turbidite -Bouma Sequence

If you don't finish this in class please refer to chapter 8 in the book.
