<p>Scotts Miracle-Gro Hourly Sales Time Entry Participant Guide</p><p>Hourly Sales Time Entry Participant Guide</p><p>Objective: Counselor and Merchandiser associate successfully enters daily time, meal breaks, drive time and miles driven. Overview</p><p>Hourly Sales associates will record their time in Employee Self Service (ESS) on a daily basis. Business Rule</p><p>You will track the following time throughout your day:</p><p> Regular time </p><p> Drive Time</p><p> Meal Break</p><p> Miles Driven Then at the end of the day, enter all time activities individually in chronological order and one entry per day for miles driven. </p><p>You will need to enter Drive Time and Miles Driven for each day.</p><p>Note</p><p>Regular Time Guidelines</p><p>Business Rule  Each entry for regular time should include and activity and store</p><p>Drive Time Guidelines</p><p> Personal commute time (home to 1st store, last store to home) is not considered ‘hours worked’</p><p> Drive time longer than 30 minutes to 1st store or longer than 30 minutes home at the end of the day and all drive time between stores is considered Drive Time and should be recorded</p><p>Meal Break Guidelines</p><p> All non-exempt associates are required to record meal breaks</p><p> Meal breaks must be recorded for compliance reasons</p><p> See state reference chart regarding state requirements for lunch/meal and rest periods</p><p> Associates are required to track lunch/meal </p><p>© 2007 TITAN Technology Partners, Inc., All Rights Reserved Page 1 of 19 Scotts Miracle-Gro Hourly Sales Time Entry Participant Guide</p><p> periods (not rest periods) </p><p> Meal periods are unpaid</p><p> If an associate performs work during meal period, the associate should not report that meal period and it should be paid </p><p>Note: For detail on breaks, reference Meal and Rest Periods Policy on MyScotts.com.</p><p>The associate will review the timesheet and can correct any errors prior to manager approval. </p><p>Business Rule Once time has been approved, the manager will need to unapprove the timesheet to allow for corrections to any time entry errors. If the manager makes any corrections to the timesheet in Manager Self Service (MSS), he/she is required to record a reason code.</p><p>All overtime pay should be approved by your manager prior to actually working overtime. In an Internet Explorer window, go to MyScotts.com b. Fill in User ID and Password as provided by GBIS or your manager c. Click Logon</p><p>Steps</p><p>1. Click </p><p>The Date will default to the first day of the week (Sunday). Be sure </p><p>Warning/Gotcha to change the date each time!</p><p>4. Type the date directly into the field and then click GO</p><p>Tip b. Click the (back) or (forward) arrow to scroll day by day c. Click on the (calendar pop-up) and click on the desired day and then click GO</p><p>Note: The date highlighted in the calendar at the top of the page will show the current date outlined. Click on a date in the calendar at the top to go directly to that day.</p><p>Start by entering your first visit of the day.</p><p>Note</p><p>5. All codes are listed in the dropdown. Only use codes applicable to your group. If you choose a code that is not applicable, you will Note receive and error and not be able to save your time. </p><p>Note: Refer to your QRC for a list of valid A/ATypes.</p><p>6. Click </p><p>You will also need to enter an activity and a store for each entry of Regular Pay.</p><p>Note You cannot enter activity or store for any other type of entry.</p><p>7. If you know part of the activity code or description, you can enter the known information and use Tip the wildcard (*) to find values that contain the information entered. For example, in Description, type Cou* to find any activity that starts with “Cou”. Press Go to complete the search. Click Go without anything in Activity or Description to list all activity codes.</p><p>8. Click on the appropriate activity – in this example, click on </p><p>20. Click on the Store search icon </p><p>If you know the store code, you can type it directly into the Store field. Warning/Gotcha Fill in all or part (with *) of Store, City, State and/or Territory prior to clicking Go. </p><p> All stores will start with a code to indicate the type of store. Use the following to assist with searching:</p><p>HD* All Home Depot stores LO* All Lowes stores OSH* All Orchard Supply stores M* All Menards stores WM* All Walmart stores</p><p> For State, use the two-letter code. The more information you enter the shorter your list will be. For example, fill in Store = HD*, City = Latham and Sate = NY to find only Home Deport stores in Latham, New York.</p><p>31. Click on the Start time field</p><p>64. Enter the time you started work at that store </p><p>You must use Military time. For example, 8:00 a.m. is entered as 08:00 and 2:00 pm is entered as 14:00. Entering time as military time allows for entries to cross Key Learning Point midnight if needed – for example, 6 PM to 2 AM could be entered as 18:00 to 02:00. For this example, we will use 08:00 (8 AM).</p><p>Note: See your Quick Reference Card for military time translation.</p><p>You can enter military time without the colon (:). If you do not enter the colon, the time must be entered as a 4 digit number (e.g. 1200).</p><p>Tip The system will format the value once you click Refresh or Review.</p><p>15. Click on the End time field</p><p>You can also press the Tab key to move to the next field.</p><p>Tip</p><p>16. Enter the time you finished work at that store (in military time), and before your meal break (if any) – in this example, we will use 1300 (1 PM)</p><p>Next enter drive time between the first store and the next store.</p><p>Note</p><p>17. Click </p><p>For Drive Time, you do not enter an activity or store.</p><p>Note</p><p>19. Click on the Start time field</p><p>20. Click on the End time field</p><p>22. Enter the time you finished drive (in military time), and before your meal break (if any) – in this example, use 13:30</p><p>23. Continue to enter time before your meal break</p><p>This example shows the rest of the morning lasting from 1330 to 13:45 before taking a meal break. Note</p><p>24. Enter a meal break – click from the A/AType dropdown</p><p>You will see the time you enter for a meal break as part of the total hours for the date, however, pay will continue to be based on time Warning/Gotcha worked, excluding meal breaks. </p><p>25. Click on the Start time field</p><p>26. Enter the time you started your meal (in military time) – in this example, 13:45</p><p>27. Click on the End time field</p><p>28. Enter the time you finished your meal (in military time) – in this example, 14:15</p><p>29. Then we continued to work at the same store for the rest of </p><p>Note the day – 14:15 hours to 17:00 hours.</p><p>At the end of the entries for a day, enter the total miles driven. Miles driven is entered differently than time. Use the Wage Type field to </p><p>Note find the Miles Driven code. </p><p>30. Only use 9MIL to enter your miles driven for the day. Click Go and then Warning/Gotcha click the (go to end) button to see 9MIL.</p><p>31. Click </p><p>32. In the Content box, enter the total number of miles driven during the day – in this example, 20</p><p>You do not need to do multiple miles driven entries for one day. You only need to do one entry per day with the total for that day. Note</p><p>You can enter as many lines as needed for a day</p><p> Only 7 rows display initially</p><p>Note  If more lines are required, click </p><p>Do not use the Save as Template button. Click Review on this </p><p>Warning/Gotcha screen to get to the screen where you save this timesheet.</p><p>34.
