Dinner at 6:30 PM, meeting at 7:30. If you prefer, come for the meeting only.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Hello everyone! Sorry I did not get a July newsletter message composed. I totally forgot about writing it since Pam and I were on vacation the latter part of June.

Lots of things are happening now. Car shows everywhere - close and far. By the time you read this I will be back on the road towing the Vette. I planned my itinerary so that I can attend four national events in four consecutive weekends. After attending the Classic Chevy International show in Springfield, Missouri, the second weekend I will travel to Warren, Michigan to Chevrolet headquarters for the 50th anniversary of the ’56 Chevy. The third weekend I plan to attend the Woodward Ave Cruise which is in Detroit. Last year there were about 40 thousand cars cruising! The forth weekend I will attend the Hot Rod Magazine Super Nationals show which is hosted by the city of Springfield, Illinois. Between shows I will be visiting my mother-in-law in Ohio and also travel to Erie, Pennsylvania to see my cousin. So as you can see, my month of August is full! I hope that all of you get a chance to attend at least one of the big shows around the country. You meet a lot of good car people and some of them become lifetime friends.

Now that I have bored you with my vacation plans, I just want to say that it is good to see fellow members getting involved to help plan Lonestar XXV. It may seem like a long way off but time flies and some of the decisions that have a large affect on the show need to be made in the near term. Robin Perry volunteered to be the show coordinator and is doing a great job. Contact her if you want to get on a committee. It is actually fun to plan a big event and then see it come to fruition.

Since I will be out of town the time of the August dinner meeting, Garry will conduct the business portion of the meeting.

1

MINUTES FROM THE LAST MEETING

CTCCC Meeting held 7:30 PM July 20, 2006 at El Gallo.
