<p>Social Studies 9</p><p>Loyalist Facebook Assignment</p><p>Library work periods: Thursday, November 17 and Monday, November 21</p><p>Due date: Thursday, November 24</p><p>Total: /30</p><p>In Chapter 6 of your textbook (page 100-115) we look at the Loyalists who came to Canada after the American Revolution. Using these pages, as well as your own research using academic sources (we will go over this in our first library period), you will create a “fake” Facebook account for a Loyalist that you create.</p><p>You will create this Loyalist using facts from your research. Using the templates found on the class wiki (mlackey.wikispaces.com) you will produce a profile page and a wall page. </p><p>Profile:</p><p>The Facebook profile should include some sort of graphic representation, A.K.A a profile picture that is suitable for the Loyalist. This does not need to necessarily be a picture of the Loyalist, it could be a picture that your character might enjoy or otherwise have as their profile. The typical Facebook page also shows the characters friends, relationships, and interests so I would like you to include these as well so that I receive the true “Facebook experience.”</p><p>Wall:</p><p>You must also include a “wall” where people post likes and dislikes as well as “status updates” (minimum of 6). Please fill out this section as if you were your character so that I can really understand who your Loyalist is and what his or her Facebook page might look like if he or she had one.
