Do they think people stereotype ballet? Ask the pupils what kind of strength they think you need to build up in order to be a dancer </p><p>Main activity 1  Whole class activity: Get them to do a warm up  Play the street dance music. After it is finished, ask the pupils to talk about what they think the song means. What is the artist trying to say? How does the music make them feel?  Teach them a short sequence, such as one of these: http://www.ehow.com/videos- on_7935_hip-hop-dance-moves-kids.html  Get them to practice the sequence to the music  Pair work: Now ask the pupils to perform their short sequence to the music, but this time they have to make it work as a partner dance.
