<p>BINGHAMTO N U N I V E R S I T Y</p><p>S T A T E U N I V E R S I T Y OF NEW YORK</p><p>Assistant Professor of Music Theorist</p><p>Provide private composition and classroom theory instruction to graduate and undergraduate students. Teach courses in composition and in the four-semester theory/musicianship sequence; additional assignments may include orchestration, counterpoint, music technology, music analysis, and other related music courses. All faculty are expected to supervise independent studies, serve on committees, assist in recruitment, be a committed and visible participant in the events of the department as a whole, and be active in research, performance and/or creative endeavors.</p><p>The Department of Music is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music, and offers both BA and BMus degrees, as well as the MM degree with concentrations in performance, opera, conducting, composition, and history and literature.</p><p>Earned doctorate in Theory/Composition or Composition by date of appointment. Potential or demonstrated excellence in the field of composition.
