<p> How to remove Java and reinstall Java 7 update 21 Step 1</p><p>Click the Start button and choose Control Panel.</p><p>Step 1a</p><p>If you still have Windows XP, you may need to click Start, hover over Settings, and choose Control Panel.</p><p>Step 2</p><p>If you are viewing the Control Panel ‘by category’, click ‘Uninstall a program’.</p><p>Step 3</p><p>If you are viewing the Control Panel by Icons, click Programs and Features</p><p>Step 4</p><p>If you still have Windows XP, click Add or Remove Programs. Step 5</p><p>Choose each occurrence of Java, one at a time, and click the Uninstall button. Close the Control Panel when you are finished.</p><p>Step 6 Verify that the Java folder has been deleted. Click Start Click Computer Expand drive c:\</p><p>Step 7</p><p>Scroll down and expand the Program Files (x86) folder (Win 7), or the Program Files folder (Win XP) and verify that there is no Java folder. If there is a folder labelled Java, delete it.</p><p>Step 8</p><p>Reboot the computer.</p><p>Step 9</p><p>When logging back into Oracle, you will see this dialog box. Click Install.</p><p>2 Step 10 Depending on the version of Internet Explorer, you may see this bar near the top of your screen. If you do: Click the information bar. Click “Install This Add-on for All Users on This Computer…” in the pop up message. Step 11</p><p>Click Install.</p><p>Step 13</p><p>Eventually, you should see this window. Click Close.</p><p>Step 14</p><p>You may see this pop up window. If you do, check the Do not ask again checkbox, and click Later. Step 15</p><p>Close the browser window asking you to Verify Java Version. </p><p>WE DO NOT WANT TO VERIFY.</p><p>Step 16</p><p>When logging back into Oracle forms, you may see this window appear twice. Check the box to accept the risk, click the blue circle to expand the Options and check the second box to not show this again.</p><p>Step 17</p><p>You may also need to lower your Java security settings. If you do, click the Start button and choose Control Panel.</p><p>Step 18</p><p>If you are viewing the Control Panel ‘by category’, click ‘Programs’.</p><p>4 Step 19</p><p>Click Java (32-bit).</p><p>------OR ------</p><p>Step 20</p><p>Click the Security tab.</p><p>Drag the Security Level slider to Medium.</p><p>Click OK.</p><p>Close the Control panel.</p>
