SB06143 SERVICE BULLETIN TSB# 12-03 Page 1 of 3 ISSUED: July 2, 2012 Written By: Glen Simpson SUBJECT: HEAD VALVE & SPRING IMPROVEMENT UNITS: BT35, BT50 AND S32 DATE CODE RANGE: 12060 AND LATER</p><p>We have implemented changes to the head valve and head valve spring to improve the overall performance of the BT35, BT50, and S32 tools. </p><p>T32014 Head Valve: The machined o-ring gland for the outside diameter o-ring has been made larger to increase the o-ring squeeze between the head valve and the cap. This change will better stabilize the head valve movement. It will also improve the symptom of air bursts from the trigger valve with no cycle, which was a result of an internal leak at this seal point. A small groove has been machined in the outside of the head valve for identification. </p><p>T32028 Head Valve Spring: The strength of the head valve spring has been increased to assure that the head valve will move freely and close crisply even with the increased o-ring squeeze on the head valve. The new spring is painted yellow for identification. </p><p>The new head valve spring must always be used with the new head valve. To be sure this is always done properly we have created a Head Valve Kit. </p><p>T32014 - Head Valve has been discontinued and replaced be 9R198720 – Head Valve Kit. Whenever you order a head valve, you will receive valve and spring together along with installation instructions. </p><p>Conversely, the new yellow spring may be used as a direct replacement to the original, even with the old head valve in tools of any age.
