This tool is not intended to evaluate the full compliance status of a system and should not be used towards fielding decisions without coordination and verification by the JITC NITFS Test & Evaluation Facility (http://jitc.fhu.disa.mil/projects/nitf/index.aspx).</p><p>CIVA is designed to automate the repeatable portions of NITFS compliance analyses. This primarily pertains to file structure (i.e. file length, segment count, segment lengths, extension lengths, etc.) and metadata constraints (i.e. specified ranges, lists, registers, etc.) analyses based on requirements, conditions, and options set by the NITFS. It does not take into account requirements, conditions, and options specific to the system for a complete and accurate test. System-specific compliance analyses (i.e. file version, data types, segment types, extension types, metadata configurations, etc.) must be conducted by the users.
