<p>AT&T INSTALLATION REQUIREMENT CHANGE NOTIFICATION - ATT-TP-76300-247 TO: ALL AT&T INSTALLATION SUPPLIERS Date: 10/10/2014</p><p>EFFECTIVE DATE: 5 days from posted date or as per Supplier’s Contract</p><p>Submitter’s Name: Don Mitrano</p><p>TP: TP76300 Subject: Unterminated Fiber Action: Add: Modification: Delete: </p><p>Section: O Section Title: Fiber Optics Subsection: 4 Section Title: Fiber Optic Patchcords and Jumpers Subsection: 4.1 Subsection Title: Requirements</p><p>Prior to Change: 4.1.7 f) Under no condition, unless for testing or trouble shooting purposes, shall fibers be left UNTERMINATED at any Fiber Optic Termination Panel (FTP). Examples of FTP’s would include but may not be limited to FDF’s, LGX’s FDP’s, FIP’s or Fiber Drawers. Any temporary test patch or loop back setup for testing or trouble shooting purposes shall not be left up more than 24 hrs. And, all fibers removed (unterminated) for testing or trouble shooting purposes shall have dust caps placed over the end of the fiber as well as any vacated jack/port position a dust cap shall be placed on that jack/port position.</p><p>Post Change: 4.1.7 f) Under no condition, unless for testing or trouble shooting purposes, shall fibers be left UNTERMINATED at any Fiber Optic Termination Panel (FTP). Examples of FTP’s would include, but may not be limited to, FDF’s, LGX’s FDP’s, FIP’s or Fiber Drawers.</p><p>Any temporary test patch or loop back setup for testing or trouble shooting purposes shall not be left up more than 24 hours unless concurred by the GNFO. Any loopbacks, which are placed on the LGX at each end terminal site until integration testing can be performed at either end and cleared with the GNFO, is permitted.
