<p>EHS Specialist Job Opening at Dade Behring - West Sacramento </p><p>Dade Behring Inc. is a global company that manufactures medical testing equipment that diagnoses bacterial infections and identifies antibiotic treatment. We have an immediate opening for an Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist in our Health and Safety Organization in West Sacramento. The position is shared between Sacramento and Cupertino facilities, and the person would report primarily to the Sacramento facility.</p><p>Job functions include providing regional HS&E programs support for Sacramento and Cupertino sites to monitor Environmental and Safety compliance with regulatory requirements and established policies. Participate in conducting HS&E reviews and audits. Perform day-to-day activities involving hazardous / bio-hazardous waste management and disposal, and recycling and waste minimization programs. Provide and coordinate HS&E regulatory training. Investigate incident root-cause, and follow up on corrective and preventative action through completion. Maintain safety and environmental records including permits, procedures, monitoring records, safety incidents, Material Safety Data Sheet information, and chemical inventories. Monitor and report HS&E status for Sacramento and Cupertino sites on a monthly basis.</p><p>Qualifications Required: Education: B.S. degree in Safety, Environmental Studies, Engineering, or a science related field. </p><p>Skills and Abilities: -Minimum of two years experience in administering HS&E compliance programs -Working knowledge of federal and state EPA and OSHA regulations, as well as air quality rules is desirable.
