<p> RAMAPO COLLEGE OF NEW JERSEY Anisfield School of Business Unit Council Minutes February 4, 2015 ASB 135 </p><p>Dean Chakrin called the meeting to order at 1:00PM </p><p>1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes of the January 21 meeting were approved.</p><p>2. INTELLECTUAL CONTRIBUTIONS Dean Chakrin reported on intellectual contributions since the January 21 Unit Council meeting</p><p>3 REAPPOINTMENT APPLICATIONS The ASB Reappointment/Tenure Committee reviewed the applications for 2nd and 3rd year reappointments. The following candidates for 2nd Year Reappointment were approved:</p><p>Changhee Lee, Assistant Professor of Accounting Bobby Saldivar, Assistant Professor of Marketing Malavika Sundararajan, Assistant Professor of Management</p><p>The Committee did not recommend reappointment for the one 3rd Year Reappointment candidate. </p><p>4. FAEC – S. Eisner  Faculty were asked to complete the survey regarding a new Gen Ed requirement.  A new task force will be created to assess the impact of the interim schedule</p><p>5. SAC – J. Cabrera  An additional goal has been added to ASB’s Assessment Plans for this year – MBA Global Perspective  Core course outlines need to be updated </p><p>6. ANNOUNCEMENTS Susan Eisner, chair of the ASB Faculty Mentoring Program, has organized a Teaching Roundtable for February 18 from 2:30-4pm in ASB 323. The topic is Hybrid/Blended Classrooms. </p><p>Gladys Torres-Baumgarten spoke about the new Study Abroad opportunity in Peru.</p><p>Gladys also announced that there are two faculty service positions available – International Education and Study Abroad committees. 1 Yongbum Kim reminded the UC about Scholars Day. Faculty who have hired student Research Assistants should encourage them to submit their work. </p><p>Stephen Larson said that Writing Intensive courses will be reviewed in the Fall. </p><p>Sridevi Shivarajan announced that the FRC is sponsoring a workshop on academic advisement on February 11 from 11am-12pm in E216.</p><p>Kathy Zeno, representative on the Diversity Action Committee, reminded the UC that Arun Ghandi will give his keynote address at today’s Diversity Convocation.</p><p>Meeting adjourned at 2:30PM Minutes submitted by Deirdre Lynch </p><p>2</p>
