Use the Citation Machine to construct your bibliography AS YOU GO. Document your sources at the time of research. Do not wait until the due date because you will have to go back and find all of your sources. This is a waste of your time and more difficult that this needs to be.  Consult a librarian. When you have talked to Mrs. Huckstep or Mrs. Dowd about your topic and have asked them to help you use our library’s resources to your best ability please have them sign here:</p><p>______Signed Date of consultation</p><p>The Citation Machine website is: http://citationmachine.net/ 1. Click on the link 2. Select APA button on the left side of the home page. 3. Select the type of source from the list of possibilities on the left side of your screen. For example, you can select “book with one or more authors” or “magazine article.” 4. Fill in the required blanks in the citation machine template. 5. Do not fill in anything for “in text parenthetical citations.” When you get to that point, click on SUBMIT. 6. Copy and paste the entry from Citation Machine into a Word Document titled “Changing Planet Bibliography.” 7. Put the bibliography entries in alphabetical order according to the first word that appears in the Citation Machine entry. Sometimes this is a person’s last name and sometimes it is the first word in a title. 8. Keep this list current as you research.</p><p>Check out Badger Link: http://www.badgerlink.org/ to find magazine and newspaper articles about your topic. There is an icon for this on your Merton desktop. </p><p>Calendar and Project Log:</p><p>Keep track of your daily work and stay on top of your time management by filling in the time spent and work done each day on your Project Log. Write what you should be working on each day on your calendar so you make sure you are prepared for each due date. For instance for the first several days write “research/take notes” because that is what you should be doing to gather your facts. Make sure to make time for all of the tasks you need to complete for this.
