List two uses each for concave and convex mirrors.

The two uses for a concave and a convex mirror are that it can be used for glasses to correct one’s vision. They are also used in microscopes and telescopes.

2. Show in a diagram how the effects of a convex lens can be negated by a concave lens of the same curvature.

See graph

3. Predict what you would see if you were to look up at the surface from the bottom of a swimming pool (with a diver’s mask and sufficient air!)

When looking up while underwater, one would see that the image seen up above looks funky as if everything were torn apart. The image looks expanded and very close to the eye.

Conclusion

In this experiment, we found the radius of the curvature by using a concave mirror. We were also able to locate the focal point and find the index of refraction. The angle of incidence for our experiment was 23 degrees versus 26 degrees, the angle of reflection therefore there was a distinct error percentage as shown in our flat mirror diagram. Our critical angle for the plano-convex lens was 45 degrees.

You are missing data values and results.

80/100
