<p> West Jordan High School</p><p>8136 South 2700 West West Jordan, Utah 84088 (801) 256-5669</p><p>The West Jordan High School Debate Team cordially invites you to attend the Jaguar Forensic Invitational I.E. tournament on Friday, December 8th, 2006. We are located approximately 15 minutes from Alta High School if you are interested in splitting your team between Silver and Black and our I.E.s. Please don’t send unaccompanied students.</p><p>We will be offering the following events: </p><p>Split between Novice and Open </p><p> Oratory  Exempt ( Combined)  Impromptu  Spar</p><p>Open Only </p><p> HI  DI  DUO  Storytelling ( Christmas Stories)  Prose and Poetry</p><p> We will also be offering Student Congress which will be split with sufficient entries. Please indicate novice or open on the registration form.</p><p>Double entries will be allowed but NOT accommodated. No double entry is allowed for student congress. </p><p>Food: Concessions will be available. Judges and Coaches will be fed. Judges:</p><p>Individual Events: One judge is required for every five entries or any portion thereof. Double entries count as two entries for judge commitment. </p><p>Congress: One Judge for every ten entries</p><p>Awards: First through third place in ALL events will trophy. Best Chair will be awarded in each house of Congress. Ribbons will be awarded for fourth and fifth place. A sweepstakes trophy will be awarded for the team with the most trophies per capita. (This is a chance for the smaller programs to win a sweeps trophy!) There will also be a sweepstakes trophy for the team with the most points overall.</p><p>Fees: $3.50 per single entry, $7.00 per Duo, and $15.00 school fee. Payment is expected on Friday when the coaches receive their packets. </p><p>Registration: Must be received by Tuesday, December 5th, 2006 at 3:00 pm. If you do not receive confirmation by 3:00 pm on Thursday December 7th your entry was not received and you need to follow up. Please e-mail your registration to [email protected]. If necessary you may fax your registration to 801-256-5670.</p><p>General Information: Please have students come in the front door of the high school and be present in our commons area directly inside the front door at 3:00 pm on Friday. Coaches should plan on picking up their packets by 2:45 on Friday. Any profit that is generated from our tournament will be donated to West Jordan High School’s Sub for Santa fund which will benefit the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
