<p> VOLUNTEER ROLE DESCRIPTION</p><p>Role title: Volunteer Youth Worker</p><p>Locations: Spa Road, Bolton BL1 4AG OR Central Drive, Westhoughton BL5 3DS</p><p>Responsible to: Operational Lead</p><p>Duration of role: Minimum of six months</p><p>Frequency: Weekly </p><p>Hours available: 4-10 pm Monday,Tuesday,Thursday 6-9 pm Saturday and Sunday: Spa Road. 6-9pm Monday and Wednesday: Westhoughton.</p><p>About Bolton Lads & Girls Club (BLGC) BLGC aims to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realise their potential and become happy, responsible and caring citizens. Every day the club makes a real and lasting difference to the lives of young people. This year we won a National Award for ‘Youth Organisation of the Year’.</p><p>The role: We are looking for volunteers to make a difference to the lives of young people by assisting in providing play activities for children and young people 13-21 years old.</p><p>We need volunteers who:  Are passionate about working with children and young people.  Can establish positive relationships with children and young people and be a positive role model.  Can work with children and young people with diverse needs in small and large groups.  Are creative, enthusiastic, confident and resilient.  Will adhere to policies and procedures at all times with particular emphasis on equality and diversity, health and safety and safeguarding.</p><p>The benefits of Volunteering in this role:  You will receive induction training to prepare you.  You will receive support and supervision.  You will connect with young people and make a difference to their lives.  You will be part of a passionate, dynamic team.  You will develop skills in planning, evaluating and reflecting.</p><p>Activities involved in:  To help set up and tidy away activities.  To support staff members or other volunteers in activities.  Encourage children and young people to participate and engage in activities.</p><p>Additional information: You need to complete an application form and an enhanced DBS Check.</p>
