<p>Job Title: Business Intelligence Architect</p><p>Job Description: </p><p>Hitachi Consulting’s Business Intelligence practice is currently experiencing growth and we are looking for professionals to join our practice in the Northeast. These people would reside near one of our offices in the Northeast: Boston, NY/NJ, or Philadelphia. Candidates will be responsible for participating in full-life cycle projects implementing business intelligence and other technologies to meet our clients’ information needs. In addition, these professionals would be responsible for participating in the national Business Intelligence organization, supporting projects and practice activities across the country. </p><p>Position Description: This position requires a broad business perspective and a willingness to exceed client expectations. The role is client-facing as the lead architect (most times the only architect) on business intelligence projects both in the local area and nationally. The position entails taking on responsibility for understanding business requirements and translating these requirements into a solid business intelligence architecture. Position requires a deep understanding of current technologies, best practice BI implementation strategies and architectures. Additionally, the position will include participation on sales pursuits, proof of concept projects and other business development activities. It is expected that the professional will continue to train on new technologies, network and participate in alliance/software vendor activities and continuously improve their expertise and value. </p><p>Projects can include both short-term assessments (business case development for technology investment) as well as longer-term (3-9 month) implementation projects. These projects, and our role, will include the addressing of both business processes/objectives and technology requirements. </p><p>Required Skills:</p><p> Experience/Understanding of Business Intelligence strategies  Significant Business Intelligence architecture and design experience  Advisory skills in areas of Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Implementation strategy  Understanding of technologies (landscape of alternatives) in the marketplace  Significant experience implementing technologies in the areas of data warehousing, business intelligence, reporting  Strong understanding of several business functions addressed by BI solutions, including: Financial Management/Reporting; Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing  Mastery of methodologies used to implement BI solutions</p><p> Experience with at least 2-3 full-life cycle implementation  4-10 years of consulting experience at a variety of clients  Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills  Bachelor Degree Required  Understanding of the Microsoft solution offerings and/or Hyperion/Essbase  Microsoft Reporting Services, DTS, Analysis Services, Integration Services  On-line Analytical Processing (OLAP)</p><p>Nice to Have Skills:</p><p> Technology development experience (custom development)  Alliance Management experience  Experience with Hyperion, OLAP, Infomatica, IBM, Oracle, SAP  MS Office applications including MS Visio and MS Project</p><p> Industry depth in Financial services, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, telecom </p><p>Travel Required: Up to 100% </p><p>Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa.</p><p>Hitachi Consulting is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V</p>
