For several exercises and problems in each chapter of your text, there are files that allow you to work through the accounting information and immediately see if your answer is right or wrong. They are designed to highlight the key learning objectives and replicate your professor’s in-class lectures.</p><p>2. Do I need to know the Excel formulas? No! It’s tough enough to learn accounting without having to learn Excel too! Each piece of information is either text (usually an account title) or a number (usually a dollar amount). You will select text using drop-down boxes, and enter dollar amounts in the cells as requested.</p><p>3. How do I know if my answers are right? All incorrect answers will automatically appear in red. No. In each file, the first tab is “How to Use this file”. You probably won’t need to read the directions all of the time, but they’re there if you need them.</p><p>5. What if I erase the formulas? You can’t. The files are all password protected, with the formulas hidden throughout the worksheet. If you try to enter data in one of these protected cells, an error message will appear.
