Tues August 16, 2015 Jennifer opens meeting</p><p>Welcome and introduction of 2015-2016 Board Co Presidents - Cheri Kloberdanz and Jennifer Robertson VP - Terri Ann Mann Secretary and Webmaster - Carrie Hamen Treasurer - Kay Nordine</p><p>Coach Rice introduced</p><p>Coach Introduction and Future of Program - Athletic Participation Fee (100 per sport District fee which caps at 200 dollars per athlete and can be paid with tax donation) - Spring proposed Uniform Package. 300 dollar package will include 2 uniform shirts with numbers, 1 polo shirt, 1 pair shorts, 1 Hoodie, 1 equipment bag, and Helmet. There will be a 200 dollar package also offered which will not include the bag, and helmet - Recap of Summer Ball Coach Rice was pleased and impressed with the players and parents and hopes to build a solid, elite team - Coach Rice will be starting up a September throwing and agility program. Throwing will be long toss to get arms back into shape - There will also be a Fall Ball camp (camp flyer will be posted on web site for those who didn't make the meeting). We will be playing in a tournament Sept 28th through October 3rd and a possible Vegas tournament in October for varsity team. - Coach Rice thanked everyone for coming out and hopes we can spread the word that to others to attend booster meetings whenever they can!</p><p>Treasurer's Report (Cheri/Kay). Kay reports that there has been no financial activity since July and our current balance is $2,412.19</p><p>Fall Ball (Hand out Flyer's) Flyers were put out for fall ball, golf, and meeting agenda</p><p>President Jennifer...introduces Carrie</p><p>Social Media (Thoughts on what's working and what is not, rules, etc...) - GroupMe (overall, good idea. Some issues but very informative) - Website (Carrie doing an amazing job with a very difficult program but people like it) - Facebook (no comments) - Twitter (pointed out that it's very public) - Team Snap. (Use for player messaging and tracking of payments) - General comment that booster club will post information on all available sites on website</p><p>Sponsorships (Jennifer) - Sanderson Ford (Incredible opportunity to raise up to 6000 dollars from Sanderson Ford, 100 dollars donated for each test drive and the vehicles will be brought to Deer Valley High School. Booster club asks that as many as possible come out so that we may raise the maximum amount. Date will be in October but no absolute date yet from Sanderson. Boosters and Coach Rice will keep us informed) Sanderson has also sponsored us with many improvements to our field this year. A big thank you to Coach Rice for getting us some much needed support from local business - Field Banners ( the district very recently voted to allow sponsorship opportunities on school property. This means we should all attempt to move quickly to approach as many businesses as we can. Donations will include not only banner/sign but also an advertisement on our website. Booster club encourages all to help if at all possible. Question raised about tax ID and forms, Jennifer responds that we will post forms with tax ID on website so we can take advantage quickly. - Website. (Boosters will post forms on website for business sponsorship on website)</p><p>Upcoming Fundraisers (Jennifer) - Test Drive Car (see above) - Individual Banners (Sam Pavlinch). We will provide information. As it becomes available. Sam couldn't make it to the meeting - Restaurant Spirit Nights (booster wants to make each months meeting a spirit night at different restaurants. If anyone knows a place that may be willing to support DV baseball please contact any booster club executive.) - Tax Credit Drive (DV baseball will be running a tax credit drive. Please remember that each person may contribute 200 dollars. These tax credits are an excellent way to contribute, they are credits on AZ tax and do help with federal. Out of state family and friends may also use our tax ID if they wish to contribute) - Bowling ( we will be having a bowl a thon this year, more information to come) - Amazon (Carrie found information on holiday gift wrapping for Amazon. Adults (not players) may wrap gifts and Amazon will contribute. More information to come - Raffle (we will be holding an IPad raffle) - Yard Sale? ( a yard sale to sell old baseball equipment) - Any other suggestions??? (No suggestions were given) * No hit a thon this year! ( much relief and comment of support for no hit a thon)</p><p>Discuss future Booster Club meeting dates and locations. ( next meeting and location not determined. Please keep watching our website and Facebook page)</p><p>Golf Tournament (hand out flyers) - Need players, raffle items and sponsorships. (Last year this was a success, this year we can acquire the course exclusively if we have 100 players. Last year we had 72, and made over $2,000 dollars.
