Please be prompt in arriving at CHS NO LATER THAN 7:55. You will need to bring the following with you: Your test center admission ticket, Photo identification. You will not be admitted to test without it. (Your admission ticket alone is not sufficient identification.), Sharpened soft lead No. 2 pencils with good erasers (no mechanical pencils or ink pens), A permitted calculator, if you wish to use one on the Mathematics Test. Not all calculator models are permitted. If you use a prohibited calculator, such as the TI-89, you will be dismissed and your answer document will not be scored. Do not bring any of the following: books, dictionaries, notes, scratch paper, or other aids,highlight pens, colored pens or pencils, or correction fluid/tape, any electronic device other than a permitted calculator (examples include timer, cell phone, media player, iPad, headphones, camera), or reading material.</p><p>STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENT: All students need to have their ID’s on upon entering the building and do not take them off until leaving the building, per Ms. Harris.</p><p>1. STUDENTS are NOT ALLOWED to wear JOGGING PANTS of any kind. This includes PANTS WITH ANY STRIPES and any NIKE, ADDIDAS, UNDER ARMOUR, ECT. If it does not have a BELT LOOP, DO NOT WEAR IT!!! 2. An interest meeting for the 2014-15 Diamond Girls will be held Wednesday, October 29th in the cafeteria during home room. For more information see Ms. Embry or Ms. McBeth in rooms E105 or E107. 3. DECA Meeting Wednesday during Activity Period in C202. We will be planning the Halloween Party! See you there! 4. Any current or former Latin student interested in joining JCL (Junior Classical League) for the 2014-2015 academic year needs to see Mrs. Vinzant in room W112 for an application. Dues are $10 and are due by Friday, October 31, 2014. 5. School make up pictures will be Wednesday, October 28th. Students who did not get their Picture taken need to plan to take their picture on that day. 6. FEA will meet at the beginning of the activity period on Wednesday, Oct. 22 in Mrs. Ottis' room, E116 7. “Sophomores interested in representing CHS at the 2015 Hugh O’Brian Leadership Seminar see Mrs. Burns in W101. Deadline to submit applications are Wednesday, October 22nd. Don’t miss this great opportunity.” 8. The first Youth in Government meeting will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, October 22 during activity period in Mr. Osborn's room, E110. Anyone interested in joining Youth in Government and potentially attending Model United Nations in the spring should attend this meeting. If you haven’t yet paid your dues, please bring $10 to this meeting! 9. Senior Portraits can still be scheduled and made at Bruckner’s. (769-233-8002) Senior Portraits need to be made before Thanksgiving break. 10.Any students interested in joining SADD or Spanish Club should see Mr. Freeny in W113. Dues are $5 for SADD and $3 for Spanish Club. 11. Clinton Junior High School Drama Club presents Café Murder Thursday, October 23rd and Friday, October 24th at 6:30 pm in the Clinton Junior High Auditorium. The cost is $15 and tickets must be reserved by calling 601-460-0542. Culinary Arts will be catering this event. 12.Please remind students that no one is allowed to wear jogging pants of any kind. 13.Yearbooks may be picked up during homeroom, 5th period, or 6th period 14.CPSD's mobile app provider has changed its name from School Connect to SchoolWay. Current app users need to update, and new users can download this free app for Apple and Android devices by searching the app store for “SchoolWay.” 15.Mr. Chapman has forms for students to fill out and bring back to purchase a yearbook which are on sale for $70.00. They can either turn their money and form in to me or go online and purchase a yearbook at www.yearbookordercenter.com. All information can be found on my School Wires account under “The Arrow.” 16.ANCHOR CLUB: A HUGE thank you to the Arrow football fans and extremely enthusiastic Anchor Club students who raised $471.60 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at Friday night's football game! Service opportunities: Making Strides against Breast Cancer 5K on October 25, Make a Difference Day-bring 3 new or gently used CLEAN blankets to donate to 4C's and Stewpot by October 25. See Mrs. Berry for more information. 17.Cultural Awareness society will meeting Wednesday the 2nd half of homeroom after National Honor Society in the Auditorium. You must have either paid OR bring your money to pay your dues that day. 18.The Celebrate My Drive campaign, sponsored by SADD, begins October 15. Students, faculty, and even members of the community can go online at celebratemydrive.com in order to make a safe driving pledge. They are encouraged to do so each day from October 15 - 24. </p><p>Schools can win grants up to $100,000, and the top schools will win a concert featuring The Band Perry. Last year three Mississippi schools won $25,000 grants. Let's make CHS one of those schools this year. GUIDANCE OFFICE ANNOUNCEMENTS Counselors are now finished with all senior conferences. If you are a senior and did not have a senior conference, please come see your counselor today for important graduation information. </p><p>Brown University is going to be here on October 23 at 11:30. If you are interested in getting more information then come sign up in the counselor's office.</p><p>Get2College is offer a scholarship for $1000 for Seniors and a $500 scholarship for Juniors. More information is available on the counselor's web page and at get2college.org</p><p>2015 Broker Fish Scholarship for University Students - $1,000 The Broker Fish $1,000 University Scholarship is available in 2015 to students who are graduating their final year of high school.
