<p>UNOFFICIAL COPY AS OF 04/28/18 06 REG. SESS. 06 RS BR 2490</p><p>A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in loving memory and honor of Phyllis Payton Warren. WHEREAS, Phyllis Warren was born in Franklin County, Kentucky, to the late Lee and Stella Bailey Warren, and departed this earthly life on February 20, 2006; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Warren was retired from the Department for Human Resources, and also served the General Assembly as Enrolling Clerk for the Senate for two decades, where her pleasant demeanor and quick wit made her a friend to everyone she met. Whatever challenges life presented, Phyllis never complained, and even as she faced her final challenge, she maintained her sense of humor, dignity, and grace; and WHEREAS, Phyllis Warren, who was a longtime member of the First Christian Church, was preceded in death by her brother, Virgil Payton, and a sister, Lucille Chenault. She is survived by her children, John Russell Warren, and David Lee Warren and Rebecca Warren Crawley, both of our LRC staff; a brother, Kermit Payton of Tucson, Arizona; two sisters, Helen Lea of Shelbyville, and Peggy Stephens of Whitley City; a grandson, Christopher David Crawley of Warner Robins, Georgia, and a great- granddaughter, Caroline Elizabeth Crawley, also of Warner Robins; NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:</p><p>Section 1. The House of Representatives expresses its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of this remarkable woman, and extends to the family of Phyllis Warren its heartfelt condolences. Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory of Phyllis Payton Warren. Section 3.
