<p> BVAMS Reading Requirement</p><p>The Belle Vernon Area School District has created a literacy plan for students from birth to grade 12. As part of this plan, students are now given a summer reading requirement. This is meant to encourage students to continue reading during the summer months. These are the requirements for students entering grades 7 and 8. </p><p>Please fill out the slip below, and return it to your child’s reading teacher. These requirements can also be found on the Belle Vernon Area website for your convenience. </p><p>Summer Reading Requirement Rules</p><p>1. Choose ONE book from the list below or one that has been approved. </p><p>2. Read this book over the summer.</p><p>3. Specific dates will be set-up throughout the summer for students to come to the middle school and take their test. This information will be sent on the school messenger system. New information……</p><p>4. This AR test will be your 1st grade for the 1st 9 weeks.</p><p>5. If you DO NOT complete this assignment, then your 1st grade of the 9 weeks will be a ZERO! 6. The AR points received for this book WILL count towards your total for the first nine week grading period.
