Minutes of Southern Centre AGM 23 September 2010</p><p>After being proposed as an accurate record of the meeting by Martin Keeley and seconded by Lorraine MacGillivray, the minutes were approved.</p><p>3. Chairpersons Report</p><p>Drew Hall confirmed that this had been a particularly challenging year for all members of the Southern Centre Committee who continue to commit time to the work of the Centre despite the ever increasing demands placed upon them through their individual occupations.</p><p>Since the previous AGM the Southern Centre has met on 5 occasions resulting in the following training events being delivered/ planned for all REHIS members:  Planning and Building Standards – October 2010  Bedbugs and Cockroaches – February 2011  Food Safety Seminar- September 2011  Gas Safety – October 2011  Court Witness Skills – November 2011  Landlord Registration – November 2011</p><p>All of the training events run by the Centre have been very well received and the attendance at the events is increasing to such a level that most are oversubscribed and alternative venues are now being sought to accommodate this increase in demand. To further ensure that the Centre responds to the needs of the Members, a new assessment form has been devised for all events to allow feedback and suggestions for improvement. In addition all REHIS members have been contacted through the new E Mail system with a request that Members contact the Centre directly with any suggestions on topics for future seminars/ events.</p><p>Drew concluded his report by thanking all committee members of the Southern Centre and the REHIS office staff for their support and input throughout the year.</p><p>4. Election of 2011/12 Southern Centre Committee</p><p>The following nominations for the noted posts on the Southern Centre Management Committee were put to the membership and were approved:</p><p>Southern Centre Chair Drew Hall Southern Centre Vice Chair John Murray Southern Centre Secretary David Duffy</p><p>Committee Membership Andrew McPherson Lorraine MacGillivray Gordon McNeil Heather Dick Anna Brown</p><p>UoS Student Representative David Strang</p><p>5.
