<p> Waterwatch Coordinator’s Report July 2016</p><p>In General This report covers the period 22 June to 19 July. This month has been focused on the ACT Environment grants and curriculum work for Icon Water. This was also the last month for data to the CHIP program, so much chasing up of volunteers was also needed. </p><p>Office This period the coordinator assisted with general supplies and up keep of the catchment group office. A complaint to the business center manager was made about the missing conference room booking diary. This issue has not been resolved. Events (None this period.)</p><p>Media This period, the coordinator;  Hosted SACTCG Radio Landcare show for July with Chisholm HS Yr10 Waterwatch team. (19/7)  Participated in ACT Basin Priority Projects “Talking Heads” promotional video. (19/7) </p><p>Waterwatch This period the coordinator;  Contacted volunteers to ensure al data for the next CHIP report was submitted.  Delivered RARC training session and assisted with 7 surveys with the new Green Army team.(13/7)  Attended the WW Coordinators meetings for July. (12/7)  Met with a new volunteer and linked them in with the ‘Gudgenby Bush Regenerators’ team. (4/7)  Provided equipment support to a number of member groups. Including after-hours monitoring of SPOT beacon.</p><p>Education (2 weeks of school holidays occurred this month) This period the coordinator;  Met with Chisholm HS Science Coordinator to visit new waterwatch site. (14/7)</p><p>Weeds Equipment This period the coordinator;  Managed the booking of the spray trailer by land owners.  Managed booking of the spray packs.</p><p>Urban Landcare This period the coordinator;  Hosted the July meeting of the ‘Carers of Point Hut Pond’ group. (15/7)</p><p>Icon Water project This period the coordinator;  Submitted curriculum materials to Icon Water for 3 of the 4 agreed topics areas. </p><p>Grants This period the coordinator; Submitted the ‘West Kambah ALG Control’ application for Amberly and Westwood Farms under the ACT Environments Grants 2016 program.</p>
