<p>Falcons fly over Yellow Jackets, 40-16</p><p>The Clear Lake Freshman A team beat the Alvin Freshman A team, 40-0, behind a battering ram running attack and a tough defense. After a scoreless first quarter, the Falcons got on the board on a 47 yard TD run by quarterback Edgar Gonzalez. The two point run by Chris Nevarez was good making the lead 8-0 at the 5:56 mark of the quarter. The Falcon offense scored again two and half minutes later on a five yard scamper by Edgar Gonzalez. This was after a 37 yard gain by Gonzalez spotting the pigskin at the 10 yard line. The two point conversion was successful building the lead to 16-0 with 3:25 left in the first half. Clear Lake led at the break 16-0. </p><p>Clear Lake added another touchdown and two point conversion in the third quarter to build the lead to 24-0. The Falcons added to their total with a 60 yard run by J.B. Cannon on a hole opened by Falcon offensive linemen Matt Beamer and Dan Clementi.
