That was the message Jon gave us before Communion at the Gathering last Friday, May 17. Dates for Taken from Revelations 2:4, the wording differs depending on Upcoming Walks the translation one chooses to use. Some translations say & Flights “remember”, some say “don’t forget”, while others say “why would you walk away from your first love.” Regardless of the wording, the meaning is the same. As Jon challenged us, remember Jesus Christ as your premiere love and the Chrysalis August 31 - unconditional love most of us felt, perhaps for the first time, at Flights September 2 #49 & #50 2013 our original Walk. Remember how glorious that felt, the closeness to Him, the Heavenly feel of Candlelight, the body of Christ sharing with one another. Even though it is June, the heat of summer is just closing in, our minds are wrapped around swimming, vacations, ice Men’s October cream, and endless warm evenings, it isn’t too early to pray and Walk 17-20 think about those you would like to share Christ’s love with this #89 2013 September or October. The 49th and 50th Chrysalis Flights will be taking off August 31-September 1 at Hilltop camp in Brown County, courtesy of Lay Directors Robby Kloke and Amy Teater. As we Women’s October so graciously heard Daniel Acton and Cheyenne Grimes tell us at Walk 24-27 the Gathering, there are potential caterpillars out there just #90 2013 waiting for a sponsor. We also have our 89th and 90th Walks coming up October 17-20 and October 24-27 at Camp Lakeview with Lay Directors Dave Engle and Jane Hien. God knows who He has in mind for our upcoming Flights and Walks, let’s help Him out this summer by sharing the opportunity with those He places on our hearts. You can get an application by going online at www.colu m businemmaus.or g. The team selection committee is now gathering the names of interested individuals. Previous applications will not apply. You must apply anew for each set of walks.</p><p>The Earlier the Better</p><p>Chrysalis is a three day experience for high school sophomores, juniors, seniors and college freshmen, that provides an opportunity for spiritual growth and renewal through Christian fellowship. Chrysalis equips and challenges Christian youth to deepen their relationship with Christ and inspires participants to live their faith in their home, church, school and community.</p><p>Now is the time to find and sponsor prospective caterpillars for the Fall Chrysalis Flights on Labor Day weekend, August 31 - September 2, 2013. The flights will be held at Hilltop Christian Camp in Brown County. Registration deadline is August 16th, so begin praying for the youth in your church or in your neighborhood. Some young person you know may be waiting for the love, inspiration and blessings that can be gained on a Chrysalis weekend.</p><p>Application forms are availa ble online at www.colu m busin e m m aus.org. Pray for discernment so we will know those servants that God wants to do His work on the Board for the next three years.</p><p>Approximately one-third of the current Board will be finishing their three year term in December. We will need to nominate and vote on new board members in October and November. So, now is the time to pray about this very important concern.
