Cell Phone Attendance Policy

In order to help you maintain your focus in a subject that requires your undivided attention:

Upon entering the classroom each day, turn off your phone and place it, screen facing out, in your assigned pocket/slot along the wall. Attendance will be taken using the pockets/slots; if yours is empty, you may be marked absent. If you do not have a phone on any given day, you will place your keys in your assigned pocket/slot instead, and parent/guardian contact may be made. If your phone is out of your assigned pocket/slot without prearranged permission or if you place a dummy phone or empty case in the pocket/slot, this violation will be treated as open defiance rather than a typical cell phone violation due to its deceptive and disrespectful nature; in addition to parent/guardian contact, the 1st offense will result in an immediate referral and FACTS class, the 2nd offense will result in a suspension from my class, and the 3rd offense will be handled by the Administration with my making a recommendation for suspension. However, I do not foresee any violations even happening because I know I have respectful students.

------

I have read and understand Mrs. McNeil’s cell phone attendance policy.

Student Name (print)______Student Signature______

Cell Phone Attendance Policy

In order to help you maintain your focus in a subject that requires your undivided attention:

Upon entering the classroom each day, turn off your phone and place it, screen facing out, in your assigned pocket/slot along the wall.
