For each unit that we cover, you are going to be required to find 2 articles relating to the topic being studied. (a total of 8 articles over the semester)</p><p>The topics you will be required to find articles on are:</p><p>Motion / Physics (Due: ______)</p><p>Weather (Due: ______)</p><p>Chemistry (Due: ______)</p><p>Ecosystems / Sustainability (Due: ______)</p><p>The Specifics:</p><p>. Articles must be handed in . You will need to have a 300 – 400 word summary for each article . Articles may be typed (1.5 lines) or NEATLY handwritten (double spaced) . Each article is to have its own summary . Each set of summaries needs a cover page that includes a title, your name, your teachers name, course and due date . At the top of your summary there must be a title, the source of the article, the author and the date of the article</p><p>Sample Title: Sydney Tar Ponds Clean-up Begins Chronicle Herald, by Jennifer Granter, August 17, 2005</p><p>. In your summary, you must include the following o The key concept of the article (what’s the point of the article?) – just a sentence or two. o A summary or overview of the article (do not just state facts) o Is this issue / article important to Nova Scotians/Canadians? Why or why not? o Is this article relevant to you personally? Why or why not? o If you were to do further research into the topic discussed in your article, what are two questions that you would want answered?</p>
