The sprinklers in the following rooms, areas, and spaces shall be designed as Ordinary Hazard.</p><p>2.0 Organization(s) Affected</p><p>Raleigh Fire Department (Plans Review and Fire Protection Division), Architects, engineers and fire sprinkler contractors. </p><p>3.0 References </p><p>NFPA 13-2.1</p><p>4.0 Definitions</p><p>5.0 Requirements</p><p>Rooms, spaces or areas with the following designation or use will be treated as Ordinary Hazard Classification.</p><p>1. Mechanical 2. Electrical 3. Fire Pump 4. Storage 5. Loading Docks 6. Canopies 7. Equipment 8. File Rooms 9. Copier Rooms 10. Mail And Sorting Rooms 11. Laboratories 12. Data / Cable and Switching Rooms with cable racks. 13. Break Rooms with cooking appliances 14. Accessible attics 15. Chemistry Labs 16. Projection rooms TB-1 CITY OF RALEIGH, N.C. Rooms or areas where the quantity and or combustibility of contents is expected to be moderate and medium rates of heat release are expected</p><p>6.0 Goal:</p><p>To reduce or eliminate extra expense (costly change orders), untimely field changes and the number of revised plans required to re-work the sprinklers in these areas. </p><p>TB-1</p>
