<p> UNIVERSITY OF CAPE TOWN Faculty of Health Sciences & THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF THE WESTERN CAPE Professor/Associate Professor and Head of Clinical Unit of Reproductive Health & Fertility Regulation Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology </p><p>The University of Cape Town and the Department of Health of the Provincial Government of the Western Cape are seeking an incumbent for this five-year contract position of Professor/Associate Professor and Head of the Clinical Unit of Reproductive Health and Fertility Regulation within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Faculty of Health Sciences.</p><p>The successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership in the areas of research, teaching, training and service in Reproductive Health and Fertility Regulation taking into account the principles of primary health care, which is the lead theme of the Faculty of Health Sciences.</p><p>He/She will interact with the relevant health services programmes of the Department of Health of the Provincial Government of the Western Cape and contribute to the formulation of evidence-based policies and programmes at local, provincial and national level.</p><p>The criteria for appointment will include eligibility for registration with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, wide clinical and research experience in Reproductive Health and Fertility Regulation and a deep understanding of its relevance to the health of women in South Africa and beyond.
