Her concern was that CPA’s etc, use test as weeding out purpose rather than invitation to improve. She does not want AAGP to lose its essence Annarino, (CA) responded with an explanation. Jones (GA) asked if certification process considered portfolios and what professionals have already done rather than just a paper-pencil test? Annarino (CA) responded that certification is just starting. GPCI would use content experts to help develop in conjunction with survey of membership results. She stated that some performance kinds of evidence is possible (Sample of needs statement, for example).Pam ______(OH) asked how GPCI connects with AAGP? Annarino (CA) responded GPCI and AAGP have an arm-length relationship. AAGP does not govern GPCI, 49% or less of GPCI board can be AAGP members. Tillery (OK) asked if you need to be a member of AAGP to be certified? Annarino (CA) responded no, but would consider discounts for members. Kobe (AZ) asked if there be different kinds or levels of credentials? Generalists versus specific (non profit, public).
