<p> Campus Life Call for Mentees</p><p>Campus life is currently seeking staff members who would like to have a Campus Life mentor.</p><p>Goals and Objectives</p><p>Mentor Campus Life seeks to facilitate one-on-one mentorship opportunities for all ECL employees. Through this program, Campus Life hopes to develop and retain top student affairs professionals by empowering open communication and building community bonds. The program is built upon the understanding that successful mentorship must include both active mentors and active mentees. </p><p>Specific goals for this experience include: to help professionals develop goals and strategies for their growth and success in the profession; to provide guidance and suggestions in professional development; to provide communicative and professional support; to provide networking opportunities; and to offer advice on service, especially professional and community. </p><p>Expectations and Responsibilities </p><p>Within the overall goals and objectives articulated above, the specific relationship between mentor and mentee will evolve depending on the degree of interaction. Mentees are expected to construct and communicate 3-5 goals for the mentor/mentee relationship. These goals should serve as the foundation for interactions between the mentor and mentee. Mentees should to seek valuable insight from their mentor and are encouraged build sustainable relationships with their mentors. There are very limited funds available for meetings and activities associated with the mentorship program at this time.</p><p>Time Commitment </p><p>Mentors and mentees are expected to meet at least three times. While the relationship formally lasts one semester, we know that in many cases it might last much longer. The mentor and mentee should inform each other if too little or too much time is being spent on the relationship. </p><p>Mentee Qualifications </p><p>The first qualification is a genuine interest in mentorship program. New professionals with strong commitment to professional development, the Emory community, and/or knowledge and experience in the field of student affairs are particularly encouraged to apply. Mentees will be matched with mentors based on individual goals and skills outlined in each application. </p><p>Applications </p><p>Mentees should complete a copy of the Mentee Interest Form.
