<p>Paper Assignment: Slavery, old and new World History 10 Dr. Korfhage</p><p>This unit I am asking you to write a short paper comparing the origins of the Trans- Atlantic slave trade and with the causes of slavery in the modern world. To what extent do similar factors drive slavery now and slavery in the 16th-18th centuries, and to what extent is a different dynamic at work? You will want to consider questions of supply and demand, and the different factors that explain both, then and now. </p><p>The paper should be 500-600 words (i.e., not long—consider it a take-home essay, more than a paper). It will be due September 30th by 3 p.m. You should include all necessary citations, as well as a Works Cited page.</p>
