Hey, Cameron, these fish look great, blob, blob and tasty,” replied Tappy. “I know we’re cats and all that but…Tappy, get out of that fish tank,” shouted Cameron. “Blook, blI’m bla flbish,” Tappy said weirdly. “What did you just say?” asked Cameron. “I said, I’m a fish,” replied Tappy. Out on the street there were many cars whizzing by breaking the speed limit. There was mist in the air and a slight touch of sunshine. The breeze was so cold it would chill your spine. “Look what you did, you practically flooded the fish and chip shop…”shouted Cameron angrily, fuming. “Fish, I like fish, give me fish. Hey, is that a fish. I saw that one in the shop. What a funny fish,” butted in Tappy. “…and got us thrown out,” finished Cameron. “Yeah, whatever,” complained Tappy. “Tappy, I haven’t stopped moaning yet.” “Hey, look at the pool. Let’s go and… isn’t that the fish? Get here Fishy you’ll be great in a cake. I would call it Fishcake!” said Tappy chasing the fish. “Haven’t I heard that name before?” said Cameron questioning himself. “Fishy come back,” Tappy called .But fishy didn’t come back to Tappy. “Let’s go home,” suggested Cameron, pulling Tappy away from the woods. Two days had passed and Tappy was still looking for the fish. They were near the woods now. “Give up Tappy, you’re not going to find it,” sighed Cameron. At that moment the funny fish jumped out and then back into the gutter. “Come here Fishy…,” called Tappy. They returned home. Their house was decorated with white and yellow flowery wallpaper that had been up for a number of years. Me and you know cats, sometimes they scratch it ‘coz Tappy had been doing that anyway. So as you can imagine the walls were tatty. Then Tappy had a drink from her silver, metal bowl. The funny fish was in there. “Looks like you’re cursed,” moaned Cameron. “What?” said Tappy angrily! “Whenever you look at water that fish appears,” said Cameron darkly. “Don’t be silly Cameron, there is nothing like curses. They’re like myths and whaa!” rambled on Tappy. “Like myths and whaa?” questioned Cameron. “No, but look….,” explained Tappy. The fish was in Tappy’s mums class of water. “Get it quick,” they both said in surprise, but the fish vanished. “Let’s see, the Funny fish curse, page 49. Ah, here we are! To break the curse, all you have to do is say, ‘Sorry little fish,’ three times and turn around twice wearing the tutu and sucking a dummy in front of all the cats in town,” laughed Cameron. “No way,” shouted Tappy defiantly. “Well, if you want to stay like this, O.K.” said Cameron shrugging his shoulders. “Alright, I’ll do it,” sighed Tappy embarrassingly. So Cameron and Tappy trudged out to the centre of town and then Tappy spoke through a loud speaker, “Gather up. Now, I’ve been cursed and I have to say sorry little fish 3 times and turn around 2 times in front of all you lot. Well here goes, sorry little fish …” After that a huge flash of red light lit up the sunny, blue sky. “The curse has been broken ,”said Tappy joyfully. “Er…no it hasn’t, look” muttered Cameron. All the other cats had it!

THE END
