(folded to double thickness 5”x15”)</p><p>Foot held 90 degrees Outline medial malleolus. dorsiflexed. Outline lateral Make large dot at distal- malleolus. Make large dot bisection (tip) of at distal (tip) of malleolus. malleolus.</p><p>STEP 2 Splint #2 Place around APPLY PLASTER heel & rear foot.</p><p>Splint#1 Folded around back of ankle & heel, around malleoli – leave front of ankle uncovered.</p><p>Splint #3 Place over tips STEP 3 of toes and cover plantar POSITION FOOT forefoot. Grip 4th & 5th toes. Lift foot – load midtarsal joint. Position Subtalar joint in neutral. Push down gently on top of 1st Metatarsal.</p><p>STEP 4 Check cast to assure REMOVE CAST transfer of skin markings.</p><p>Expand anterior ankle and Do not ship cast until dorsal foot portions of plaster is fully dry and cast. Pull off cast in distal- cured (at least 8 hours plantar direction. after casting).</p>
