<p>North Montco Technical Career Center Driver’s Education (Includes PA Licensing Exam)</p><p>1265 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale PA 19446 215-855-3931 – www.nmtcc.org – [email protected]</p><p>Driver Education Classroom Training:  30 hours of instruction at North Montco Technical Career Center  After-school, evening and summer hours available  For high school students who are 16 years of age or turning 16  Cost- $150</p><p>Behind-the-Wheel Training:  6 hours of actual driving with instruction in dual-controlled car provided by North Montco Technical Career Center (NMTCC)  For students 16 years or older, who have obtained their learner’s permit or license  Student must have successfully completed the 30 hours of classroom instruction at NMTCC or any other Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) approved location  Proof of PDE approved 30 hour classroom training required if student did not attend classroom instruction at NMTCC  If cancelling scheduled driving time, school must be notified 24 hours prior to cancellation or student will be charged for the time scheduled  Additional hours above the original 6 hours at a rate of $50 per hour can be provided if requested  Cost - $300</p><p>Drivers Licensing Exam:  For students who successfully completed 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours Behind-the-Wheel training  Given during the 6th hour of Behind-the-Wheel training  Students take exam with the same instructor they had for Behind-the- Wheel training  Offered directly at NMTCC- no need to go to another licensing center  Cost- Free (included in the Behind-the-Wheel training)  Given to high school students only</p><p>Note: If North Penn School District is closed due to inclement weather, Driver Education classes and Behind-the-Wheel training will be cancelled at North Montco Technical Career Center. 2013/2014 DRIVER EDUCATION CLASSROOM TRAINING</p><p>SESSION 1: 4:00-6:00 P.M. A registration fee of $300.00 is required to enroll in the Behind-The-Wheel portion only. (Prerequisite: Pennsylvania Department of Education approved 30 hour classroom training) 3. A registration fee of $450.00 to enroll in both portions at the same time. 4. A license or learner’s permit is required to actually drive. The PA Drivers Licensing Exam is given to students who have completed the classroom and behind-the-wheel, and have not graduated. 5.
