<p>Public Speaking - ESP 904 FINAL EXAM June 2014 Final Examination grade is worth 20% of semester grade </p><p>Part 1: Final Self-Reflection – 100 points. Due on day of exam (G & C: June 11, B: June 13) Part 2: Informational or Persuasive Speech – 200 points (Week of June 2 – 6) Part 3: Rhetorical Analysis and Rhetorical Devices – 170 points. </p><p>Part 1: Final Self Reflection Portion</p><p>WRITTEN SELF-REFLECTION AND EVALUATION Requirements: 2 – 3 pages double-spaced, Times New Roman font, 1” margins, indent to delineate paragraphs, no extra space between paragraph, and proper heading)</p><p>You have given the following speeches: An Introductory speech, an Infomercial, two Informative speeches (one was your Midterm Speech), a Persuasive speech (done twice, the second time with less notecards), a Job Interview, various Impromptu speeches, a Motivational speech, and a final speech of your choice— Informational or Persuasive. </p><p>Assignment Watch your final speech and critique it, then segue into a final reflection. To jog your memory, go back into your folder and my wikispace to read and view your speeches.</p><p>Include the following in your reflection: Discuss specific written and oral components of your speeches to substantiate your thoughts. You may also make reference to speeches you presented but were not taped. Discuss your growth as a public speaker this year. Your paper should address, but need not be limited to the following: </p><p> The major insights about your ability to speak publicly that you received from this class;  The most important skills and facts that you learned;  Aspects of your abilities that you feel need further improvement;  Aspects of your abilities that you feel you excelled.</p><p>* * * You will be graded on the following:  Ability to reference learning from throughout the year  Reference of specific speeches to support your point  Paragraph development & organization  Word choice & mechanics </p>
