<p>Classroom Audio-Visual Equipment and Support Most DoM classrooms have a basic stereo audio system, with CD playback and a mini-plug cable which accommodates audio output from portable media players, laptops, etc. These rooms are: FAB 1-11 (percussion); FAB 1-23 (orchestra and band); FAB 1-29 (choral and opera workshop); FAB 2-15; FAB 2-26; FAB 2-28; FAB 3-46 (chamber music room); FAB 3-56; Studio 27 (small performance and rehearsal) Most equipment is inside locked cabinets; keys can be signed out on an ongoing basis from the music office.</p><p>Some rooms have additional equipment, as follows:</p><p>FAB 1-23 includes a small audio mixer, for the inclusion of microphones, electronic keyboards, etc.</p><p>FAB 2-26 and FAB 2-28 each have installed systems comprising a white board + “smart” projection surface with a special projector. These can be used as basic data projectors with any laptop or suitable tablet, plus have interactive capabilities between the whiteboard and any computer via easily installable software. FAB 2- 26 and FAB 2-28 also have multi-region/multi-format DVD/Blu-ray playback capabilities.</p><p>FAB 3-56 is a small seminar / meeting room with a large flat-screen monitor, VGA cable for computer or suitable tablet display, with audio support.</p><p>Old Arts 4-03 is a small seminar room. It is equipped with a large flat-screen monitor, multi-region/multi- format DVD/Blu-ray/VHS/CD playback capabilities, and laptop audio and video support (VGA and HDMI). This room has wired and wireless internet access.</p><p>FAB 1-15 AV Equipment Room</p><p>Additional equipment can be found in the FAB 1-15 AV equipment room. The equipment is on rolling carts and designed for self-serve use by Department of Music Instructors within FAB.</p><p>Various types of equipment are available: flat screen video monitors, a TV projector, CRT TVs (should you need one!), data projectors, overhead transparency projector, DVD players, VHS tape player, laserdisc player, CD audio system with speakers. The carts are fitted with the gear in typical configurations, and each cart is numbered.</p><p>All equipment must be signed out before removing from FAB 1-15. Reservations can be made in advance. The reservation book (a large blue binder) is present in FAB 1-15, and includes sign-out instructions.</p><p>The equipment is intended for academic use only within the Fine Arts Building. The carts and equipment are not suited for wheeling across campus in the snow.</p><p>Instructors can obtain a keypad code for access to FAB 1-15 from the music office.</p><p>If an instructor has equipment/technical needs beyond what is available in the classrooms or FAB 1-15, please contact the Department of Music Production Office.
