<p> Clipart – Images – Pictures – Picture Borders - Watermarks</p><p>Clip Art is simple drawings that can add emphasis or context to a document. For example, if I was writing about volleyball, a small picture of volleyball would make the document look more professional. Clipart can be found in MS Word and on the internet. Remember that a lot of clipart on the web is copyrighted, and needs to be purchased to be used. </p><p>Clipart - Accessed from Insert Tab and then clicking on “Clip Art”</p><p>After opening the Clip Art menu, you are provided with a search pane on the right hand side of your screen. Getting the picture to do what you want can be a challenge. There are countless options when working with pictures, here are a few:</p><p>Clip Art Options - To access picture options, click on your picture and a new tab (Picture Tools – Format) will appear above the ribbon. There are MANY options to play with, we will look at the following:</p><p>Position – This button will allow you to pick a predetermined position for your image in your document.</p><p>Wrap Text – This allows you to determine how your picture interacts with the text in your document </p><p>Crop – This allows you to change the physical dimensions of a photo (like cutting)</p><p>Color – This allows you to change the colouring of the image, helpful for creating watermarks.</p><p>Pictures – You can insert images into your document that you have stored on your computer or downloaded from the web. This is accessed from the Insert Tab and then clicking on “Picture” (then choosing the appropriate file). </p><p>Picture Borders - Adding a border to a photo can add a professional and polished look to a document. Picture tools/Format  Picture Styles Group</p><p>Watermark - A faded simple image (usually using the washout feature) placed behind the text to add an identifying feature, emphasis or personality to a document. Watermarks are often simple images.</p><p>** A note on distorted images ** Pressing the CTRL key and dragging the corner of an image maintains the aspect ratio of an image.</p><p>Shapes – Like clipart, you can insert Shapes (a variety of pre-designed shapes) to give your document a little extra POP! They can be access from Insert Tab then clicking Shapes.</p><p>NOTE: TOO MUCH CLIPART CAN JUNK UP A DOCUMENT.</p>
