<p> 10/3/2016</p><p>UNIT REVIEW SURVEY The Unit Review Survey is designed to allow the voluntary participation of all departmental personnel prior to the scheduled unit review. The questions are designed to focus on various strategic issues as well as the overall department environment. The survey is completed by each participating employee and submitted electronically. Responses are then compiled into a summary report. The summary report is offered to department/unit leaders to assist in completing the written self-study document and to assist in identifying potential areas of focus or interest. The 4-person unit review team, consisting of internal and external reviewers, will also be provided a copy of the summary report prior to the actual review. The summary report is one data point of many that may be used as part of the self- study document. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS</p><p>Is it mandatory to conduct a survey for my unit? No, it is not mandatory, however, it is encouraged. The survey will ensure all members have a chance to voice their opinions and share their thoughts.</p><p>Can we invite student and part-time employees to participate? Yes, however the data is reported separately. Data from half-time and student employees is listed in tables at the end of the report. Only full-time employee data is included in the comparison graphs to be consistent with the data from prior departments.</p><p>How long should it take for a participant to complete the survey? Answering the survey should take the participant 3-5 minutes.</p><p>Are the participants required to answer all of the questions? No, participants may skip any question they do not want to answer.</p><p>Can I add or change the questions? Yes, if desired you can add a few questions to the end of the survey.
