Thorn Indus Led

Thorn Indus Led

THORN INDUS LED

It’s yet another ground breaker from Thorn! And thousands of manufacturers will welcome it! It’s a new Indus industrial luminaire which, for the first time, puts a LED light source in a sealed, IP23, housing. The result is phenomenal: maximum light with minimum energy; a stable colour temperature of 3500K; high colour rendering (CRI 92); surface or catenary mounting; and- above all – a 50,000 hour life at 70% lumen maintenance.

Outstanding feature of the robust unit is its single or twin 58W LED light engine. This is designed with a reflector or micro-prism optic for high bay or low bay applications respectively.

In introducing this new unit Thorn has taken the initiative in what is probably the only logical progression left in the furtherment of interior LED lighting. Hitherto users have had a choice of either fluorescent or discharge based systems. The first system lacks the advantages of long life while the second suffers from colour quality issues. With an LED system that combines long life with high quality white light the advantages are obvious. No disruptions to production lines or executing maintenance schedules in out of working hours and greater task performance.
