<p>LET US LOVE THE WORD OF GOD CONTINUALLY RECEIVING THE WORD </p><p>1. Goal</p><p>Church members will realize the importance of receiving the Word of God continually.</p><p>2. Introduction</p><p>Everyone realizes the importance of food that nourishes their physical bodies. The Word of God is spiritual food that builds up and nourishes our souls and spirits. Therefore, we must value the Word of God and be hungry for it. As man cannot survive without food, Christians need to daily feed upon the Word which is spiritual food.</p><p>3. Question</p><p>How do you daily receive the Word of God?</p><p>4. Content</p><p>The Bible teaches us that it is essential for us to continually and daily feed upon the Word of God.</p><p>A. Matthew 4:4 But He answered and said, "It is written, `Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'" Jesus said that man shall not live by bread alone, but every word that comes from the mouth of God. Therefore, God’s Word is an essential part of man’s life. It is spiritual food that we should feed upon every day.</p><p>B. Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2And do not be conformed to this world, but</p><p>Copyright © 2005 by New Hope International Church, Seattle be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. The Word will transform our lives by renewing our minds until we know the perfect will of God and to become like His Son, Jesus Christ.</p><p>C. Ephesians 3:9-10 and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; 10to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, The Word of God contains the mystery of God. When we read the Word, the Lord will reveal His plan for ourselves and for the world.</p><p>D. Matthew 24:32-33 "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33"So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near--at the doors! When we study the Word, we will know God’s timing for everything. It gives us insight, wisdom and understanding.</p><p>E. 2 John 10-11 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; 11for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds. As we know the Word, we can differentiate the doctrine of Christ from false doctrines. As a result, we will not be deceived by the devil and false teachers.</p><p>5. DISCUSSION QUESTIONS</p><p>A. How often do you read and study the Word of God? B. As you recognize the importance of receiving the Word continually, what do you plan to do in order to feed upon it daily? C. Please share the blessings of last Sunday’s sermon.</p><p>6.
