<p> CREATE A COUNTRY PROJECT Directions: On a poster board, create a country and be sure to include the items listed below. Use the rubric below to check that you have all things included. Make sure you title each of the sections on your poster board appropriately. CATEGORIES EXPECTATIONS POINTS POINTS EARNED TITLE Your project should have a colorful title. 5 MAP You should have a colored map of your country with 15 physical features on it. The physical features must be labeled on it. A map key should be included that shows what each of the physical features are. LOCATION In at least a paragraph, explain where your country is 10 located. Where would your country be located? What hemisphere would it be located in and where in the hemisphere it would be? What continent would it be located? Explain why you chose to have your country located where it is. PHYSICAL List 5 physical features that your country would have. 10 FEATURES What are the names of each of them and how would each of them benefit your country? NATURAL List 5 natural resources that your country would have. 10 RESOURCES How would each of these natural resources benefit your country? FLAG Design a flag for your country. You must have at least 3 10 different colors on your flag and a symbol to represent. Attach to your project, an explanation in a paragraph of why you have chosen these colors and symbol. EXPORTS List 5 products your country would specialize in and 5 export (send out of your country) in order to make money. Think about the natural resources you have. IMPORTS List 5 products your country will have to import (buy and 5 bring in from other countries) because they may not have. GOVERNMENT In a paragraph, explain what kind of government your 10 country will have. Explain why your country has this type of government. ECONOMY In a paragraph, explain what kind of economy your 10 country will have. Explain why your country has this type of economy. CURRENCY Design a currency for your country. Draw what the front 10 and back of a coin and bill would look like in your country. In a paragraph, explain the design that you would place on your currency. Why have you chosen these designs? What do they represent? BONUS If your project is typed, you will earn the bonus points. 5 FINAL SCORE DUE DATE: WEDNESDAY MAY 18th AT THE END OF CLASS.</p>
