<p>CommonHealth is acting as a liaison between our agencies and the fitness professional. All fees, times and locations are negotiated between the instructor and class participants. There is no facility use fee for classes held in state office buildings. </p><p>Steps to Success for Fitness Instructors</p><p>1. Establish location, fees and class times with interested agency.</p><p>2. Once class has been organized notify CommonHealth at wellness.dhrm.virginia.gov. </p><p>3. If possible, help agency promote the class. Fliers?</p><p>4. Start your first class session.</p><p>5. Establish process for notifying participants of changes in class schedule.</p><p>6. Arrive a few minutes early to to set up the class room, music, moving any hazards.</p><p>7. Collect Waiver forms from each participant before class and maintain them in a large envelope or file folder during class.</p><p>8. Collect fees on an established schedule – at the beginning of each class or at the beginning of a series of classes or once a month.</p><p>9. Be sure to leave the room as you found it and secure the room if required.</p><p>10. Have Fun! Questions or concerns can be emailed to [email protected]. </p>
